I hope this is legit, and we truly have made it to the era of jetpacks!

This is a Martin Jetpack, and you can buy one!

The Martin Aircraft Company of Christchurch new Zealand has used the most advanced technology to produce an exceptional personal aircraft. We were promised flying cars, but really, this is better. You don't need a runway to land it.

It can be used to save lives, search and rescue in floods and fires, inspect mountain trails and remote climbing routes for lost mountain climbers, or get to the landing pad of your skyscraper office building...  the Martin Jetpack seems ready to get you into Batman situations, and out of them.

The Martin Jetpack is unique in that it can be flown both manned, unmanned or as part of a “mule train” of Jetpacks and its fly by wire technology ensures that it is relatively easy to operate whether as a pilot or using remote control with some go pro's so you can fetch people off cliffs and mountains.

Its advanced ballistic parachute can open as low as six metres above the ground.

  1. cant be real,
not on a golf course anyway

golfers are far too whiny about noise,
gotta be quiet so they can concentrate.

wonder how baseball players and race car drivers concentrate?

    1. It's real, but... this is a followup to the hovercraft golf cart of Bubba's from a couple years ago, just a media marketing ploy for free publicity. Though, maybe it just makes a large whooshing sound

  2. That's the latest version of the Martin Jetpack, yes it is legit, but not terribly practical...

  3. I would guess that these Jetpacks will get banned from golf courses as soon as the jet wake from one of them starts blowing other player's golf balls all over the fairway. I can see it being used for other applications though.
