    1. 5th photo down has a Hot Wheels logo... maybe this was inspired by a toy car

    2. The Netflix tv show "car masters" shows the entire buil, it was actually made as a replica of the hot wheels car "splitinimage" as the bloke who wanted absolutely loved that car and wanted a life size version of it.

    5. It's actually a pretty shotty build. Watch it going down the road, see the cockpit glass flapping. Doesn't meet up with the body at all. They make things that look good, but quality..? I think not.

  3. so different than the car they built on the show. looks like they refined it, repainted it, and added more true to the Hot wheels toy details.

Realy strange. They sell the car on there website for 150'000 Dollars. Since 2015 and it's looks like no one buy it.

I'm not shure how much from the show is just show. But I'm shure they build two splittin image. Maybe they build a second one for the cameras.

Maybe almost everything is fake in the show. The buissnes concept, all interviews with the buyers. Only the car modifications are real.

    3. When they sold the Futura AND the COE shop truck for $170K, that makes the Splittin' Image seem WAY overpriced. They were looking at around $30K in costs for that thing. Around $60-75K may be a fair price to the right buyer.

  4. jupp, this is a different car, the hoods are hinged in the reat top end…
Gotham made them slide to the front…
Would not be a wonder though if they had "inspiration" or the show ist actually "3 years old"… who knows :-P

  5. Gotham’s is magenta and was built from a C4 Corvette. Name of the Netflix show is ‘Rust to Riches’ btw. The actual shop’s name is Gotham Garage.

    1. Looks like they did both; this 2015 one is for sale on their website

  6. Since there is a mold now it's possible to make more replica's.

  7. The site still claims this is the "One and only". Not sure if the trade went south with the buyer, or if it's not really the one and only. What happened to the red one from the show? Do both exist?

    1. hell if I know, sounds like homework, and I don't take these questions and go and do the homework to answer them. Good luck with that

  9. This does make you think there is something screwy with the Rust to Riches Netflix show. The show shown Splitting Image built from scratch, and they acted like they had never made one before. And yet this car from 2015 (which is very similar but definitely different) already exists and is advertised on their website. It does make you wonder if this show is real or not.

  10. Not just this vehicle in particular, but every single one of their vehicles they "build" on the show are of poor build quality ( unpainted door jambs and engine bays, misaligned panels, half put together interiors, and they love that water jet machine to supply the over abundance of aluminum BS all over their vehicles) to say the least. Of I can see all of this on a television ( and much more) I can only imagine how horrific they are in person! I wouldn't commission them to build a go cart.
